Good Morning
I hope you all had a lovely long bank holiday weekend, the last of the year before Christmas at least for us in the UK.
We went to the caravan for the weekend and had a lovely rest, I even managed to get a little colouring done on Sunday the weather was so nice I sat outside with a book for a few hours, the previous evening we had the most amazing thunder storm with pink, yes pink lightening. So all weathers in one weekend.
It is my granddaughter's birthday on Friday and she is coming to stay today for a few days, she loves to craft with me and we plan to make cake pops this afternoon ready for her birthday, out for meal in the evening and hopefully weather permitting we are going to a theme park on Wednesday.
I made this card for her but decided I didn't like it so made another one instead, I am my own worse critic, I quite like it now, but I have given it to my son to give to her so as not to waste it.
This card took me ages to make and I had the design in my head for a while - it is a tent card joined together with a zig-zag piece of card.
Hopefully you can see what I mean from this picture, together with the grass and flowers.
You can see the background which was grass, flower and trees.
I hope to get round your blogs this week, I have been sadly missing everyone as life has been very busy.

Anything Goes Challenge - Make your own Background
Good Morning
It is a new challenge at Anything Goes Challenge Blog and this fortnight our theme is Make Your Own Background. I wanted to try resist embossing and also some vellum flowers. I used Watermark Ink and Clear Embossing Power for the base design and used Worn Lipstick and Dusty Concord over the top, with a little Black Soot around the edges.
The butterflies I bought off Esty - they are beautiful and I want to have a go at making some myself.
I then stamped some vellum with a flower stamp, again with Watermark Ink and embossed with Clear Holographic embossing powder and then cut them out.
You can buy all the things to make this sort of tag from the Craft Den so why don't you pop over and see.
Don't forget to drop over to Anything Goes and see the fantastic creations from my team mates.

Fashionista Challenge - Card for a Child - Molly Fairy
Hello everyone
Today is a new challenge over at Fashionista and this month our theme is Card for a Child and we are sponsored by the wonderful Stamp Fairy who is giving us a whopping $10 voucher for the lucky winner.
For my card I made a shadow box card for my Granddaughter - it is her 7th birthday at the end of August and I chose Molly Fairy, what better for a little girl, all pink and glittery.
Take the belly band off and...
It opens out to reveal the message
I think Ava will enjoy playing with this card as it is a little more unusual than the normal ones I tend to make.
I have been busy making her a pink Chocolate Explosion Bouquet, some pink altered letters and I have all the ingredients and supplies, including a stand - ready for us make Cake Pops when she comes to visit so she can give them to her friends as party favours at her party, I don't get to see her too often as she lives in the Lakes but she is coming to visit for a few days so I will be spoiling her.
Please pop over the Fashionista Challenge Blog and see the truely amazing creations from my other team mates.
I would like to enter this into the following competition
In the Pink - 50 Shades of Pink

Hello
Did you enjoy the closing of the Olympics last night? As in the opening ceremony it was very different than anything we have seen before, the athletes looked so happy when they came out. I really enjoyed it the music was great and all those different artists.
Today I have a card for a lady I know who has just had an operation to help with her breathing, unfortunately she has cancer and as this is the third time it has reared its very ugly head the prognosis is not good. She is a lovely lady who walks her dog at the same time as I walk Rosie in the morning.
I used a few different dies for this card, the main die is a Marianne Circles die LR0180, together with Memory Box butterfly. I decided to make the card pink so that I could enter it into Christine's new challenge blog - In the Pink
I would like to enter my card into

Squash Book and Cake Pops
Good Evening,
Wow where does the time go, my last post was 2 whole weeks ago and I have not even had time to visit your blogs, sorry blogging buddies and I also had to miss a challenge at Anything Goes, sorry girls. My excuses... my husband's 50th birthday, being away for two weekends, baby minding in spare time and being busy at work.
I had a lovely surpise today, Elaine sent me a thank you card for winning two of my pins, it is the most amazing card and made just for me, I make so many cards but have never had a handmade card back so this to me was wonderful and really made my day. Thank you so much Elaine for taking the time to make me this card and for the shout out on your blog.
I also want to thank Susan for the shout out on her blog too, I cannot wait to see the cards she makes with the pins. I also hope that Sonia receives her pins soon but they have to go all the way to Italy.
A few of you might remember that on my last post I was getting ready for my husband's 50th surprise weekend away for 30 of us. It was the most amazing weekend everyone enjoyed it, the venue an old pub, now a self catering venue for large groups is stunning see Mermaid Inn and even the weather was kind to us. I have no pictures as I had left the card for my camera in my laptop, but there were many pictures taken I just need to get people to send them to me and I will pop a couple on.
I would like to show you the card I gave David for his birthday
It only measures 4" x 4" - bit small you might say, but...
It is a Squash Book
I actually opens up to 16" so quite large and very hard to photograph.
This is the first part, showing David when small and our first holiday together in Togago
This is the second part, showing David cooking at a family barbeque and us together just before going out on our work's Christmas Do.
Today was my day off and I managed to finish a card for a DT challenge, the first card I have made in over 3 weeks and I wanted to try and make some Cake Pops as a trial run before my granddaughter's birthday at the end of August.
Sorry not the best picture in the world, for those who do not know Cake Pops are round bite size balls of cake on a lolly stick covered in chocolate. The cake balls were easy to make as I bought a silicone mould and just used my normal all in one cake recipe, covering the little *!!!** was another matter. Not hard to do but major time consuming when I didn't have a lot of time. They need coating twice to look ok, and you have to stand there twirling them round until they are nearly set so they don't drip chocolate down the sticks and onto the makeshift stand which I made out of a large box, so I guess these Cake Pops might be our secret as I think I will just make her some cup cakes with sprinkles and glitter like last year. These are going into work tomorrow to be consumed by my staff :).
Thanks for looking at my long post and for taking the time to visit me, especially as I have not been able to get round your blogs recently.
