Today I have an exploding box which I gave to my mother-in-law instead of a Christmas card.
The red glitter poinsettia was made using a Marianne Creatable die (the same one I used for the gold poinsettia) but I cut 3x large and 1x small, I used Glossy Accents to stick the glitter then cut all petals apart and glued them to a small circle to build up the flower, not sure it that makes sense, it was time consuming but worth it.
This was my first attempt at an exploding box and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and I know I will be making many more.
The gold and the glitter do not show up so well on the pictures but were beautiful in real life.
I think you can just about see that the white card is embossed.

Can someone please tell me how do you make the box itself.... Just startign out & I LOVE IT! Is it a die cut? or do you cut it out yourself? PLease help
ReplyDeleteIf you email me or leave me your email address I will send you a link for the tutorial. The box is very easy to make and is cut by hand, a score board is very helpful but I guess could be done without
