Anything Goes - Anniversary - LOTV Love Grows

Good Morning Blogging Friends,
Firstly I would like to say thank you to my followers old and new, it is you who keep me going with my cards :).  Thank you for your comments they really do mean so much to me.

Today I have a card to share with which is my DT card for Anything Goes and this fortnight our theme is Anniversaries.  I have a couple of Anniversary cards to make so this is my first.  I used a Lili of the Valley stamp, Love Grows - this is the first time I have inked it up - I am so naughty I have so many stamps which have never been used.

I made another of my pins, getting to be a habit of mine - I love making them.

Most of the items I used can be brought from the Craft Den - why don't you drop over and see what goodies they have.

Ingredients
Stamp - Lili of the Valley, Love Grows
Paper - K & Co.
Heart Circle - Spellbinders
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Lacey Punch - Martha Stewart
Charm - Ebay
Corner Dies - Die-namics

Please drop over to Anything Goes and see the fantastic creations from my team mates.

Have a great week, hopefully I will be back with another card in a few days.

Kenny K - Mae Western

Good Evening,
I don't seem to have posted a card which was not a DT card for ages, I have been so bogged down with work and never seem to have enough time for anything anymore.  I resigned from a DT this week as I was stressing out trying to make the cards, I was making cards I no longer wanted to make or needed with images I didn't like and have no use for.  I will never give them to anyone and they are not worth selling.  Lesson learned from now on I am only making cards with someone in mind or feel I can sell on eBay.  Rant over.

So today I have a card I made for my son's 27th birthday which was yesterday, it is a Kenny K image, I do know some of you don't like these 'adult' images but I think they make super male cards and I have coloured so many of them.  Mae's hair looks like Kevin's girlfriend, Jess only Jess is far prettier...

Mae is coloured in Copics are there is some glitter on her bikini top and boots.  The black frame was cut on my CraftRobo using a free cutting file from Birds Cards.  If you have a cutting machine you need to visit this girl's website she has so many amazing cutting files and all free, she is so generous with her time.

Hope you like this card and that there aren't too many tut, tuts.

Anything Goes Challenge - Black and one other colour

Good Morning,
Our challenge this fortnight at Anything Goes is Black and One Other Colour.  This was an easy card for me to decide on as I needed to make a Betty Boop card for my step son's partner and she loves Betty Boop.

Phil said she screamed when she opened the card :).  Lovely image to colour in.  The large flower is a Marianne die, the poppies are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The Betty Boop charm was from Ebay.

Inside of the card.

Most of the things I used on my card you can get at the Craft Den why not drop over see all the gorgeous goodies.
Hope you like the card, and don't forget to drop over to Anything Goes Challenge to check out my other team mates cards and to join in with our challenge.

Chocolate Explosion

Good Morning
Look what I have been making, not a card but a Chocolate Explosion as a little extra present for my nephew's 18th birthday which was on Sunday.

I have seen these a few times and they are EXPENSIVE to buy, and I was sure I could make one of my own and guess what I did.

It was really easy to make, the chocolate bars are glued to wooden skewers and then stuck in oasis which was wrapped in tissue and cellophane which in turn was put in an empty coffee jar.  A big bow and extra tissue and cellophane attached to skewers and stuck in the back to fill it out.

My other sister in law was so impressed with it, she bought a hot glue gun so she could start making them.

Digital Tuesday - Bows and Buttons

Hello Everyone,
It Tuesday so another wonderful challenge over at Digital Tuesday and this week our theme is Bows and Buttons and we are sponsored by the wonderful Spesch Stamps.  I decided to make a card for my step-son's girlfriend, Kirsty, who is defiantly a Ribbons and Bow sort of girl.

I used a lovely Syliva Zet stamp called Precious Present, coloured with Copics and glittered with Stickles. I used some Bearly Mine digi paper from one the CDs I have and Doohickey Dragonfly and Heart Tag.

Close up of the image

Close up of the bow and hat pin which I make with a dragonfly charm.

I hope you drop over to the Digital Tuesday blog and see the other fantastic creations from my team mates.
Have a great week, hope to be back with another card in a few days.

What a great day

Hi everyone
Today was the day for my Advanced Coluring Class with Bev Rochester - whooooo....  I had been looking forward to this for ages.  I arrived early so I could buy some of the new stamps and sentiments and then popped upstairs for a quick coffee and sandwich before the class.  There were no free table so I asked a nice lady if I could sit with her and her friend, they of course said yes, they were joined by a third person who was Fleur  who I have followed for ages, it was so surreal to sit there and look at someone that you sort of know but don't.  Of course I got talking to them, hard to shut me up really, and I told Fleur I was a fan and followed her (what a nice lady), her friend Lou asked if I followed her but could not remember if I did or not but I checked when I got home and of course I did and had been for a while.

It was amazing to meet Bev and pick up some tips, I now know what to do with all those pencils I bought but didn't know quite what to do with.  One tip I did pick up was the pencil stumps I was using, which I bought from an art shop are rubbish, and to buy some Derwent pencil stumps instead as these are softer and blend easier.  Bev gave me some tips on the wavy hair which I always have problems with (mainly on the Kenny K images) so hope I can do a better job on them next time.

So this was my effort, we were concentrating on hair, folds and using Prisma pencils for shading.  I was pleased with the end result, there were a couple of thing I could improve on and would do differently on similar images, but you only get once chance at the class, I did get some folds into the dress which were not on the stamp as the dress if quite flat, I only realise now when I compare the stamp and my finished image. I also need to finish off the background. I will be using this for an anniversary card I need to make later this month for one of my DT challenges.

Update ... Christine asked what the colours in the dress were - they are R39, R37, R35, R32 with Tusan Red pencil, there is the tinest bit of black pencil here and there and I mean tiny.  The dark is R39 with the pencil over.
It was so nice to meet some like minded people, none of my friends are remotely interested in my hobby, except to receive the cards... LOL.

Digital Tuesday - Bugs and Blooms

Hello everyone
Today is Tuesday so that must mean another challenge at Digital Tuesday and this week our theme is Bugs and Blooms and we are sponsored by the lovely Robyn's Fetish.
I did not make a card this week I had planned to make one on Saturday but unfortunately one of my cats was put to sleep that day, we are still not sure what happened or went wrong but he was fine before a small procedure on Tuesday but afterwards could not see or hear properly and his back legs had gone, so unfortunately he had to be put to sleep, we don't know if it was a reaction to the anesthetic or a brain tumor.   So I made my first ever scrapbook page in his honor.  I used a few different elements including some Nitwits.  Hope you like it.

He was a lovely cat and will be missed by us and also his brother who must be wondering where he is.

Don't forget to drop over to Digital Tuesday and see the great creations from my team mates.
