Anything Goes - Let's not be Square

Good Morning,
Ohhh.. I am feeling my age, I missed the start of the challenge for Anything Goes - I thought it was next week, how did I do that???  Where are the weeks going to???  So I apologise to my fellow DT members and here is my card, good job I was ready with it we are away this weekend for my hubbies 50th birthday so at least it was ready even if I had never loaded it to the site.

Our challenge this fortnight is Let's Not be Square and I needed to make an anniversary card for my lovely sister-in-law and her equally lovely husband.  I chose my new stamp from Sarah Kay, A Little Bit of Country, yummy....

I used a Martha Stewart PATP, one of my pins, and some WOC flower for the front, but my favourite is yet to come.

Open the bow and it reveals the inside - I have to say this took me ages only because I could not decide what to do and what flowers to use.  This is a new sort of card for me and I have no idea what you would call it.

This is a close up of the sentiment.

Left side showing the handmade flowers

More flowers

Close up showing the lovely image and one of my hand-made pins.
The papers are Nitwits - Puppy Love - flowers are Tonic punches and Memory Box.

Most of things on my card can be bought over at the Craft Den - so go and have a look around.

I also hope that you will join us on this fortnight's challenge over at Anything Goes and you really must drop by and see the amazing creations from my team mates.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges

Fashionista Challenge - Baby Pram

Hello
Firstly I would like to welcome all my new followers, it is great to see you and the comments you leave really do mean a lot to me :).

It is a new challenge at Fashionista Challenge and this month it is Baby or Birthday and we also have some exciting news so do pop over to our blog and have a look.

My choice was baby and I already knew I wanted to make a 3d model as I LOVE doing this sort of thing - so I would like to introduce my pink girlie pram. I had great fun making it and working out the dimension, I have to admit it took me some time, the next one will be quicker.

I used two Grand Nestie dies, scalloped circles and circles, for the body of the pram.  Martha Stewart punch for the handle and bonnet.

This view shows the inside with the little blanket and a top view of the parasol, which was made with more nestie circles

This view shows the pram handle which I made with wire and pearl beads, as was the parasol handle.

Hope you like my little creation - and don't forget please drop over to Fashionista Challenge and see our exciting news and see the creations from the rest of the DT which are amazing.

I would like to enter my project in the following challenges

Anything Goes Challenge - Relax with Lavender and Lace

Good Morning Blogging Friends,
Today is a new challenge for Anything Goes Challenge Blog and this week our challenge is Relax with Lavender and Lace, such an easy challenge for me as my favourite colour is purple and I love lace and ribbons on my cards.  I made a card some time ago for a lovely lady who was 75 and I thought she would appreciate this type rather than my usual image card.

I made an easel card with a digital frame I downloaded and cut the center out, I then put acetate over the cut out.  The next step was a smaller frame for the back and an even smaller frame for the sentiment, I then attached them together with pearl brads so the front panel curved... did that make sense...   I am definately going to do this again with an image at the back next time and using my new Grand Nesties will make it super easy.

I think this view shows the curve of the front panel better, also I made one of my pins and a huge purple bow.

This view shows the bottom of the easel card with flowers, lace and pearls, drop over to The Craft Den, as they have a great selection of flower, brads, lace and pearls.

I had bought ages ago some little blank cameos from eBay and I fortunately came across them and thought they were ideal for poping a picture of Margaret on, I cover the picture with more acetate which was secured with Glossy Accents.  Unfortunately in the tip I call my craft room I can no longer find them.  I really need to get some time to sort it all out...

Hope you like my card, please drop over to Anything Goes Challenge blog and see the fantastic creations from my other lovely team mates.

I would

Please find Chris Brahney

Hello everyone,
My son, our dog and I have spent the morning in torrential rain (we have forecast one month's rain in a weekend) joining a search looking for Chris Brahney, he is a 22 year old boy who has gone missing after a Stone Roses gig at Heaton Park, Manchester last Friday, he lost his mobile phone and also got separted from his friends, then got on the wrong bus and ended up a few miles away, the last time he was seen it was midnight and he was trying to get back to Heaton Park to find his way home.

There is a Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/275750745866192/

His poor parents - I cannot image what they must be going through - he is the same age as my youngest son and it really brings it home to you, my other son was at the same gig and said the organisation was terrible and there was no lighting after the concert.

It will be a week tonight, according to one of his friends I spoke to he was in no trouble at home or at work, and not the sort of boy not to contact his parents or put them to needless worry.

So this post to just to draw awareness on the off chance he ended up the other side of the country, I cannot see it but all avenues must be pursued.

This week's Candy

Good Morning friends
Life has suddenly got more hetic than it was before, what free time I had seems to be gobbled up so no card from me, although I have finished a DT project but cannot show you just yet, but it is gorgeous :).

As promised I have made 4 more pins to add to my candy, if you have not yet added your link please go here

This now makes 8 pins, with another 8 pins still to make - I have decided that I will give the winner 12 pins plus my hand-made pin cushion and I will give the remainding 4 pins to 2 lucky people who have left me comments, that is 2 each, hope that makes sense.

Don't forget if you were already a follower you can enter for a second time, just put 2 after your name and if you have put my picture on your side bar you can have another go too.

One of the reasons I am have not been able to make a card this week is that I have been making Save the Date cards for my step son and his fiance who are getting married next year.  Sorry picture is poor it was taken with my mobile.  The card is a lovely pearlised cadbury purple colour but just looks black in the pic, sorry.

Day off today and I am spending it with my lovely mother-in-law who lives about an hour away, we off to a garden centre for lunch and then out for a Chinese tonight with some family and friends - see told you I was busy, but nice busy :).
