Pontura Valentine Card

Happy Valentine's Day,

Good Morning, thank you for visiting my blog and welcome to Patricia my new follower, it is lovely to see you here :).

Just popped in quick to show you a Valentine's Card I made for my husband last night.  I saw Pontura cards on Pinterest and fell in love with them, Nellie Snellen makes them and they are all reduced on her shop.  I ordered them on Sunday from the Netherlands, they shipped on Monday and were with me by Wednesday that is really quick.  I bought a few different packs, wedding dress, baby pram, twin hearts and ladies hat.

I also bought the small Floral punch small set FLP027 rose flower, I already had the other small tonic punch flower, leaves and heart punch.

There is purple card behind the net and then matted onto pearl card.

These are the words on the inside, I cannot claim they are my own but they are how I feel... ahhh.....

Hope you like my card and that you all have a lovely day and weekend.

I would like to enter my card into the following competitions

Chocolate Valentine Card

Happy Monday,

Thank you all for visiting my blog it is lovely to get such a warm welcome back :), and welcome to Hazel my newest follower (waving madly).

Start of another week and I am off to walk Rosie dog and then we are off to work, did I ever mention that Rosie comes to work with me, she sits under my desk and hardly ever stirs, she is such a good dog.  Before I go I would like to show you my husband's valentine card (don't worry he doesn't visit my blog so he will not see it before Friday).

This is a large box card about 8 x 9 inches and I made it about as fancy as I could get away with for a man and not look too over the top - I used some digi paper which I have had for ages from Pink Petticoat - For Him - I used Cheery Lynn heart die, and two Memory Box die for the hearts at the top and the row of hearts at the bottom. There is a secret message in the Magnolia tag at the top.

When opened it reveals a Thornton's Chocolate heart - if anyone has seen these chocolate hearts you will realise how big this card is.  I made a box to hold the box which the chocolate comes in and decorated similar to the front - card is kept closed by a couple tiny magnets which I bought off ebay, they are really very, very strong but when sandwiched between card and paper they are just right for keeping boxes closed.

This is a side view showing the box I made to hold the chocolate.

This is the the chocolate heart box which started the whole card off

Hope you like my card and I hope David likes it too come Friday - he is taking me out for a scrummy meal and a bottle of my favourite drink (Prosecco), aren't I lucky :).

Hope you are all well and have a great Monday.

I've been a bad girl... but it was fun

Happy Friday evening everyone,

I have been a bad girl today, but I enjoyed it so much... the Creative Stiches and HobbyCraft show came to Event City next to the Trafford Centre, it comes twice a year and it is the only show I go to, so I tend to make the most of it - I made too much of this year but in my defense I didn't buy anything last year as I wasn't crafting.  I do feel bad though because I have already spent quite a bit on new Grand Calibur and Spellbinders dies which had just came out and I had to have.

Anyway thought you might like to see my stash.

This is the bling and a couple of stamps - most of the blink was only £1.00 each.

This was the paper and pads, the pads were all reduced the Christmas pad is 12" and was only £6.99, the others are all 8" pads and they too were reduced to £4.99 or less.  I also got some A4 dotted and striped card and some pearl 160 gms paper for flowers.  I watched a great flower tutorial from a lady using Britannia Dies, she used this paper - I was very tempted to buy her flower dies, but I already have Spellbinders Rose Creations and they are quite similar.  I did buy the paper though.

these were the tools and dies which I bought - top right hand corner is a Tonic Flower tool kit, it is great I used it when I got home with the pearl paper and I actually made a rose which looked like a rose, a first for me.  I bought the right (or was it left) handed flourish - I already have the original one and I wanted to get the opposite side one.  I already have the lower case of the Memory Box letters so now I have the complete set.

Last but not least I bought one of those ribbon thingies, I am sure you must have seen them at shows before, I spent an hour when I got home make ribbon bows and flowers ready to put on presents.

I am glad to be sat down now with my feet up and a glass of wine :).

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Chocolate Gift Card for Becky

Happy Wednesday,

Hope you are all well and keeping warm.  I am looking forward to the end of this week as the HobbyCraft show comes to our town at Event City which is next to the Trafford Centre in Manchester and I am going on Friday whoop, whoop :).  This shows comes twice a year and I normally go and stock up on card and other goodies, I have a list of things I am hoping to buy and I am looking forward to seeing the demonstrations too :).

Anyway on to my project which is for my Great Niece Becky.  I had no idea what to get her and I always think giving just money is a bit lame so I tend to make these type of gift holders.

The digi paper is from Cuddly Buddly, ribbon is from Costco, flowers are Joy Craft with a clear gem which I coloured with my Copics to match and butterfly is Memory Box.  The letters were cut with my CraftRobo and raised with foam pads.

Once opened it contains a giant block of Galaxy chocolate and a little pocket which holds a gift card or money - in this case it is money - the words I cut with my CraftRobo using Sweeheart font (one of my favourites) - my CraftRobo does not cut glitter card so after cutting out with normal card I used spray adhesive and pink glitter.

Hope you like my gift card as much as Becky did.

I would like to enter my gift card into the following challenges

Dr Who Tardis

Good Morning

Thank you all so much for the lovely welcome back - I have enjoyed visiting your blogs and getting my creative juices going again.  I have actually made quite a few cards so just need to photograph and get them on my blog.  Still not done any colouring yet - but I will get round to it.

Thought you might like to see my card I made for my step son's birthday which is today, he is a massive Dr Who fan - he even had a Dr Who house warming party.

I had fun making this card with my Craft Robo but I cannot take the credit for design as it came from Pretty Paper Graphics - I also made one of the doctors too and I am using this for a card for his wife who equally loves The Doctor.

This is the side view - I have since decorated the inside but haven't had chance to photograph it.

Weekend is nearly here, been a long week for me so looking forward to a rest and hopefully some crafting

Long, long time no post...

Good Morning,
Not sure if I have any followers left as it has been close on a year since my last post - problems with our business took my Mojo away - but I think she has started to come back and I have visited my craft room again :).  Sorry I haven't commented on any of your blogs, I have dropped by occasionally just to see what you are all up to.
Anyway New Year new start and I am going to try and make cards for our close family (of which there are many so my first card is for a lovely lady who is in her 80's - I didn't think she would like a coloured image and I have to admit I have coloured nothing in for over a year, so when I do you will have to be very patient with me as I guess I will be back to square one... lol.

I have treated myself to some new dies and this is one of them - Detailed Scallops by Spellbinders.  There are some amazing new dies coming out and I want them all... LOL, will have to wait though.  Card is a lovely pearl card which I bought a stack of at a craft fair, flowers are WOC, hat pin and ribbon is from my stash. The lilac pearls are from a Viva Pearl pen (love this pen).

I used the same die for the sentiment inside again with the Viva pen to add the pearls - so quick and easy.
I hope you like my card and I hope to post some others very soon.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges

Electric Ellapu - Special Anniversary

Happy Sunday,

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for your lovely comments, they really do mean so much to me.

Today I have a card which I made at the end of last summer and had not shown it - it fits this week's challenge at Electic Ellapu so I am glad I held on to it.

It is a 25th Wedding Anniversary card for my brother-in-law and his wife.  I used the Cheery Lyn die Heart to Heart.

I weaved some ribbon into a heart shape and the '25' has diamond dust on it.

Please drop over to Electic Ellapu and see the other amazing creations from my team mate.

Baby Shower day today so mega busy :).

Marvelous Magnolia - Tilda with Hawaiian Flower

Happy Thursday Lunch Time

Long time no blogging, as you might know life have turned mega busy and I have not had the time to make cards or blog too much recently or even visit your lovely blogs and this weekend will be no exception as I have my young niece staying over to help me make 48 cup cakes for a Baby Shower I am co-hosting on Sunday - I am really excited about it and I have made so much stuff, a nappy cake, nappy motorbike, candle favours, sweetie bags and a baby shower card - there will be about 40 of us :).  I will get piccies and upload next week.

I have been neglecting my design teams and was going to retire but was asked to stay on both of them and just blog when I can, aren't they kind, so this card is for Marvelous Magnolia  - this card is for a very good friend of mine, an oldie but goldie stamp - Tilda with Hawaiian Flower

I used some lovely Pion papers but they look a bit washed out in the photos.  I added some lovely metal corners, one of my pins, WOC flowers and LOTV sentiments.  The heart is a new die from Memory Box.

A view of the easel card - the butterflies are a new tiny die from Memory Box.  Again the papers are Pion.

A view of the inside - sorry it looks washed out so vibrant in real life.

Please drop over to Marvelous Magnolia and see the totally amazing creations from my teamies.

Back on Sunday with a card which I made last year but never got round to blogging.

Electic Ellapu - Card for Grace

Hello Everyone

This was going to be my last card Electic Ellapu but the lovely Elaine said she would keep my place open and just post what challenges I can - so I might not make every challenge but I do have a couple more in the pipeline :).

Our challenge this week is Special Birthday and I was asked to make a card for a first birthday - my window cleaner saw my cards through the window and asked if I could make a card for his niece.

I made a birthday cake card - the lovely image is from Saturated Canary.

I bought a glittery No. 1 candle and designed the box to hold it and the cake around it.

Side view of the card

View of the inside - I included a sentiment card for him to sign and then stick to top of the inside.

This is the box I made to keep it in.

Hope you like my card.

Please drop over to Electic Ellapu and see the beautiful creations from my other team mates.

Fashionista Challenge - Red

Hello everyone

Today sees a new challenge over at Fashionista and this is also my last card for them as I am taking a break from design team work due to lack of time because of work and family commitments.

This month we are sponsored by the lovely Vanabea and I chose a super image called Lily.

I could see Lily dancing through a forest with fairies so that is what I did :).  I used some Fairy Digital paper from Crafts and Me - the colours of the papers were not right for the challenge so I changed one of them to red in Photoshop and then layered 'Lily' over the top and then coloured her in with Copics.

Please drop over to Fashionista and see the other great creations and also meet our new DT members.

Hope you enjoy my card.

Electic Ellapu - Snow Much Fun

Happy Sunday

Today is a new challenge for Electic Ellapu and this is my penultimate card for the team as I have resigned from all my design teams due to lack of time - Elaine has been so kind to me and also said if my situation changes I can rejoin the team... so watch this spot :).

My card is one I made for my nephew for Christmas.

I made a lovely Edwin having fun in the snow card and when you open it up there are chocolates inside.

A side view to see the fold and chocolates inside.

Hope you like my card - I will be back in two weeks with my last card... sob, sob.

Please drop over to Electic Ellapu and see what the other team members have created - this really is one of the most friendly challenge blogs I have ever encountered and I will miss them, but hope to rejoin in the near future if things settle down for me.

Marvelous Magnolia - My Last Card

Good Afternoon,

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and New Year.  I had a super time - extremely busy with family and friends - so busy that I have not been into my craft room since the beginning of December.  This is one of the last cards I  made before Christmas and also I am sad to say the last card I will be making for Marvelous Magnolia - at least for a while as I no longer have the time to make more than the odd card for family or friends and I have resigned from all the design teams I am on :(.  Hopefully things will settle down for my by summer and I will be able to get back to making cards again.

So my card is a special one made for one of our DT members who got married at New Year, we all made her a card and sent it as a surprise.

I used a Martha Stewart punch around the page and Cheery Lyn heart heart die.  I also used one of my pins and some WOC flowers.

So I hope you enjoy this card, I do have a few others I made before Christmas so you will see the odd card from me now and again.

Please drop over to the Marvelous Magnolia blog and see the other beautiful wedding cards the DT made.

I hope to still have the time to visit your blogs now and again and also upload the odd card I manage to make.

Marvelous Magnolia - Two stamps or more

Happy Thursday Lunchtime

Well we are nearly there now, just the food shopping to do and then cook Christmas Lunch for 11 of us, quiet year this one as normally it is around 16 to 18. It is lovely having a large family, except I have one vegetarian, two celiacs and one muslim, so I need a veggie option main meal, sausage meat and chestnut stuffing, gluten free stuffing (also used for the none pork eater and veggie), roast potates with goose fat, roast potatoes in olive oil and some halal meat and don't start me on the puddings, all worth it though.

So onto my card we have a new challenge over at Marvelous Magnolia and this week our theme is two or more stamps.

I have made a card for my lovely sister-in-law Ruth and her hubbie Gareth, they are definately party people, they love going out and socialising.

Sorry to state the obvious but this is the back... LOL.

Please drop over to Marvelous Magnolia and check out the stunning creations from my team mates - there are some stunners.

Your Computer is Broke - Phone Scam

Hello
I just wanted to share this with you as hopefully it might help someone

I was phoned this morning just as I was leaving for work by a company called Ceylon Technical Support who told me they worked for Microsoft and that Microsoft were trying to send me some updates and a programme on my computer was stopping them, and he could help me by connecting to my computer and sorting out all my problems.

I work in IT, so I was the wrong person for them to speak to - I told them in no uncertain terms to go away and never phone me again.

I looked them up on the internet and apparently it is the latest scam, they remotely access your computer, which they lock down, then tell you that you have a virus or a problem which they will fix at a high cost - http://www.zdnet.com/regulators-smash-global-phone-tech-support-scam-operation-7000005195/.

It make me furious as I can see so many people would be taken in with this - I also know that many of you are having problems with your computers at the moment and trust me this is not the answer.

Never click on any link in any email, have up to date antivirus, say no to any toolbars you are offered whilst browsing (they slow down your computer) and if your computer is playing up, turn it off and restart, you would be amazed how this fixes most problems.

Another Christmas card and My Radiator

Hi everyone
This is the first post I have made in months which was not a DT card, I have so many family Christmas cards that I need to let you see some every day till New Year... LOL.

So today I would like to show you a card I made for another Step-Son and his partner. The same LOTV image that I used on Sunday - I coloured loads on mass one weekend at the caravan.

I made another of the folded cards - no idea what you call them and made a sort of scene with two new Marianne dies - the lamp post and the christmas tree, the fence I bought off ebay.

mmm... I now notice that the little name sentiment is wonky... ah never mind.

This is the reverse.

So on to the title of my post - my good blogging friend PlanetSusie showed a lovely picture of her fireplace, and I promised her a picture of my radiator, don't get me wrong we do have a fireplace in the front lounge and also a stove in our main lounge but the radiator in the hall has a special place in my heart.  I think Sue thought I was joking...

A close up - and what is that card dangling down - well it is a beautiful card from Sue - thank you so much and there was a bar of chocolate with it too... wow.

So there you go Sue - a picture of my radiator - do you like Father Christmas Teddy in the corner - I always feel that is Christmas when he comes out of his big box.

Electic Ellapu - Anything Goes

Good Morning Blogging Buddies

Well we are nearly there - I hope you are all ready or nearly ready - I just have wrapping to do and food shopping - yeah....

Today see the start of a new challenge over at Electic Ellapu and we are extending the challenge over the Christmas period and our challenge is Anything Goes - always very popular.  I had wanted to make a chocolate topiary tree after seeing another team mate do one on anothere challenge but time ran out so I have used one of my cards which has not been shown yet.

It is a teepee card for my step-son and his partner, I have used a LOTV stamp, one of last years but new to me this year - as I loved the amount of fur on the girls coat and hat that I could add Glamour Dust to.

This view shows one of the other sides.

This side use the large Marianne Christmas Tree which I have just bought, I used Diamond dust and some little gems on it - I also had to cut it down a little as it is so large - the snowflakes are Cheery Lynn which I bought when I visited LOTV last month.

This is the inside and shows how it was made with three squares scored down the middle - really easy and very effective.

Hope you like my card and please drop over the to lovely Elaine at Electic Ellapu and the wonderful designs from my other team mates.

I would like to enter my card into

Lili's Little Fairies - Something New (two dies & the stamp)

We have a new challenge over at Fashionista and I have two cards to share with you I made for my son and step son, they share a flat together so I thought twin cards would look cute - I hope they think so too.

Marvelous Magnolia - Tilda with Snowman - Shadow Box Card

Happy Thursday Lunchtime,

I am super busy at the moment so apologise if I have not visited you recently - things should start to slow down after this coming weekend.

Today see's another challenge from Marvelous Magnolia and this week our theme this week is Snowflake - pretty easy one for this time of year.

I decided to make a Shadow Box card for my niece.

I used Tilda with Snowman and glittered with Glamour Dust on Tilda and Diamond Dust on Snowman.  There is also a large Marianne Christmas Tree and Tim Holtz snowflake die again with Diamond Dust - I love this stuff :).

Snowflakes are Memory Box and Marianne, this time glittered with Glamour Dust.

This view shows the top of the card - these cards are a great idea as they fold flat for postage.

Please drop over to the Marvelous Magnola blog to see the amazing creations from my team mates.
